About Us | MyDataKey — Own Your Data
About MyDataKey

Built on one conviction:
You own your data.

We exist to give that conviction operational reality—infrastructure that turns the idea of data ownership into something you can prove, protect, and use.

OUR ORIGIN

The moment everything changed

It started with a question that wouldn’t go away: If your data has value—and it does—why don’t you own it?

We watched as companies built trillion-dollar empires on data they collected from us. We saw AI systems trained on our words, our photos, our creativity—then sold back to us as products. We noticed the “privacy policies” getting longer while actual control got shorter.

The tools that existed asked us to hide. To opt out. To play defense against an industry designed to overwhelm us. That felt backwards.

“What if instead of hiding from the system, we could establish our position within it? Not as products—but as owners.”

That question became MyDataKey. Read more about the philosophy behind our approach.

What we’re building

MyDataKey is infrastructure for data sovereignty. We create the records, tools, and systems that let you establish ownership over your personal data and intellectual property.

At the core is PDAOS—the Personal Data Asset Origination System. It’s how we create verifiable, timestamped ownership records that can survive legal scrutiny and technological change.

🔑

Non-custodial by design

We don’t store your data. We create records about your data’s existence and your declared ownership. The safest vault is one that doesn’t exist.

WHO WE ARE

Let’s be clear about what we do—and don’t do

We are NOT

  • A data vault or storage company
  • A VPN or anonymization service
  • A data broker (we don’t sell anything)
  • A litigation firm
  • A promise without receipts

We ARE

  • Ownership infrastructure builders
  • A clearinghouse for data claims
  • Evidence creators, not data collectors
  • Posture declaration systems
  • Verifiable receipts for everything

🏠 The Code of the Family

Protect the vulnerable. Children, elders, and those who can’t advocate for themselves deserve extra care.
Build for generations. Infrastructure that works for your grandchildren, not just the next funding round.
Never profit from the problem. Our business model is subscriptions, not data brokering—ever.
Speak plainly. If we can’t explain it to a family member, we haven’t thought it through.
Leave receipts. Everything we claim should be verifiable. No trust required.
OUR VALUES

What guides us

⚖️

Ownership over privacy

Privacy is defense. Ownership is position. We help you establish standing, not just hide from systems. More on this shift →

📜

Evidence over promises

Timestamped, verifiable records. Cryptographic anchoring. Receipts you can point to—not assurances you have to trust.

🌐

Universal access

Data sovereignty isn’t a premium feature for the tech-savvy. Everyone deserves operational ownership of their digital life.

🔮

Future-proof design

Laws change. Technology evolves. AI grows. Your ownership record should survive all of it—and be ready for what comes next.
